Letter from the Made in China Expo CEO | | | | Made in China Expo, scheduled for Las Vegas in November of 2008 is a long over due show that features exhibitors exclusively from China. We are very interested in enlisting the support of your government for our show & with your assistance & participation we are confident the show will be a great success for both the attendees & exhibitors. I want to take this opportunity to summarize the details of "Made in China Expo" for you & your associates. Background International trade with China has grown in size & importance over the past decades to levels no one imagined 20 years ago. Today, tens of thousands of companies in the western hemisphere are aware that they must start to do business with & invest in China or they will be left behind by their competitors. It is typical that these same companies do not know what is the best way to start to do business in China & they are looking for an easy, safe & cost effective method to explore doing business in China. Chinese companies try to expand their business in the western hemisphere by marketing their products or services in fairs based in China or through internet websites or by exhibiting in assorted US based fairs or with the use of representatives or agents. Each of these approaches, while useful has limitations; 1. Fairs in China require a buyer to come to China; this is a major & costly decision for any company. The obstacles of language & two weeks time away from their businesses are concerns. 2. The internet is crowded with millions of offerings that the buyer is wary of, most sites are confusing & buyers prefer to meet the person they will do business with face to face. 3. Fairs in the US often sell to small retail customers that the company in China is not looking for. Chinese companies really want to do business with the other exhibitors at the US based shows. The problem with all these US shows is that the exhibitors are there to SELL not to BUY. So, they do not have the time to talk to potential suppliers. The buyers in attendance at these shows typically are smaller retailers that the Chinese company can not service because they do not have domestic distribution, infrastructure & support. 4. Representatives are everywhere & the companies that want to do business in China question if the representative is good, honest & knowledgeable. The main disadvantage with using a representative is the buyer knows he is not getting the best cost because the representative must get paid. If a company is going to do business in China they want the best cost possible to keep ahead of their competition, so they want to deal direct. Concept Made in China Expo was created to help companies in the western hemisphere find suppliers in China & help companies in China find highly qualified buyers in the west. This is the only show that features exhibitors exclusively from China. No Korea, No Hong Kong, No Pacific - just China.
Made in China Expo is the logical first step for tens of thousands of companies, to see what products are available or to find a manufacturer to make their domestically produced product in China.
Every buyer is highly qualified & serious, they paid to get into Made in China Expo & every last one of them is at the show to do business with China. Unlike other US based shows that a Chinese company would attend, there is no competition from the rest of the world.
The typical profile of the buyer fits that of an exhibitor at many other US based shows, with long established US sales & distribution networks that are in attendance to BUY from China. This is the proper time to do business with these companies, not when they are SELLING in another show.
Made in China Expo's Las Vegas location makes it easy, time & cost effective to explore doing business in China . Las Vegas provides exhibitors & attendees with the most exciting venue in the world. Products Made in China Expo is an all industry event. Every company in China or its US based office is welcome to participate. This broad approach gives buyers a wide spectrum of possibilities to explore & exhibitors get exposed to buyers that all want to do business with China. The big advantage to the exhibitors is that this is the only show professionally produced by award winning; US based trade professionals of its kind. The focus of the show is to generate new business. Show Producers Made in China Expo is produced by the professional winners of Expo Magazine's "2005 Best New Trade Show Award" for an event they launched in 2004 in New York. That show beat every new show in the world & the producers believe Made in China Expo will be an outstanding huge show with over 1,200 exhibitors all from China & 20,000+ attendee buyers from highly qualified companies that want to start doing business in China. Thank you for your time & consideration. I look forward to working with you. Best regards, Douglas Caires CEO Made in China Expo | | | | |
